Getting your test results

Telephone 01780 437 017 (Sheepmarket) or 01780 764 121 (St Mary’s) after 2pm, Monday to Friday.

If your doctor has sent you for tests or investigations you will be advised how and when to obtain the results.

Results of tests can be given by telephone by our administrative and reception staff and you are advised not to make a further appointment until all of the test results have been received unless you have been advised otherwise by your doctor or nurse.

Please note that we like patients to be responsible for finding the results of their tests.

Most Pathology Lab results arrive back within 2 to 3 working days whilst radiology reports take about a week.

Results of cervical cytology tests taken by the doctor or nurse in the Practice will be notified by letter.

All consultations with any of our practice staff are confidential.

The results of investigations for anyone aged 16 years or over will only be given to the patient, unless it has been agreed otherwise in advance with the doctor arranging the test.
